Bon Voyage . . .

Hola amigos,

Just a little update on our progress so far.

It has been an emotional last few days saying goodbye to friends and family, packing up all our belongings and saying bye to our flat, but we are excited to have started our trip now.

We set-off this morning at 6am on route to Lima via Miami. The flights were both fine, and we have now arrived in Lima, some 22hrs later, exhausted, deprived of any decent sleep and trying to communicate in broken Spanglish - MINUS OUR LUGGAGE!!!!!
So we are currently sitting in a coffee shop at Lima airport awaiting (hopefully) our luggage in the next hour from the next connecting flight from Miami........British Airways are at fault for this and we are not impressed!!!! Knew we should have stuck to our less adventurous holidays - but I suppose this all adds to the travel experience haha


Once it (hopefully) arrives we will be on our way to our first Hostel for a good nights sleep ready to explore Lima tomorrow and will do a more complete first blog in the next few days

Can't believe they lost your luggage! I really hope by the time you read this email that you have got it back. Get some sleep and enjoy Lima!
