hello all sorry again for the lack of photos still to find a computer that accepts my card.

we arrived from ica to nazca two days ago which is a tiny little city right in the middle of the desert. the coach ride there was amazing, really beautifull arid landscapes and huge mountains. theres not a lot to do in nazca but it did feel like the most authentic place so far. everyone turns there head in facination which a bit funny, its prob because i look so much like brad pitt they get confused.
anyway we came to nazca for one thing ... the nazca lines ! nazca was a pre inca culture based in and around the nazca desert. some time in the 60´s i think some american dude was flying over the desert and noticed loads of lines streched over huge expances. many of them are just lines but there about 20 images of various things such as trees, dogs, birds even a possible alien that lay forgotten for 2000 years. anywho with the help of our great host Abdon we took a small 4 man plane over the lines and had an amazing time. the lines are so perfectly formed and on such huge scales, its a great mystery as to how and why they where formed.
no one seems to be able to give a certain answer as too their significance and there are loads of theorys but i found it really nice to see something that unique without loads of facts, just they are there and thats all we know. our captin seemed to have graduated from the shit scary school for air piliots as he not seem to feel the need to hold on to the wheel or go in a straight line ... ever fun for the old nerves but well worth it for the amazing views. really stunning

on to arequipa next, the white city of peru, very old and beautifull i hear

speak soon james x
