So I swear, this has got to be the last trip I take out of the country for a good long while. Every single excursion I've taken has been amazing but this is too much, wouldn't you all agree? Time to stay put for a while... Anyway, I regret to inform all you dedicated fans of the travelblog that this one is severly lacking in details compared to blogs past.
The purpose of the Ecuador trip was to attend one of my closest friends from graduate school's wedding to an Ecuadorian shaman/energy worker. The wedding took place on an archelogical site in Cuenca, followed by a reception the next evening that included the town band, grain alcohol and fireworks (doesn't get much better than that!). We took a couple of day trips including a visit to an Incan ruin and to Chobshi - one of the most energetically positive ruins in the country. My friend's family was a blast and the additional friends who came down for the wedding proved to comprise a lively and entertaining group. A great time was had by all.
I've only included a few pictures here. You can see them all on snapfish (I'd
recommend going quickly through a slideshow): http://www.snapfish.com/share/p=917231140748619244/l=83271648/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB
and you can see some very short videos at www.youtube.com - type in morgannebeck in the top search bar and select Search Users.
