Well, this was the day we have been waiting so long for. We were able to take some prayer blankets to the children in the hospital that have cancer.

First of all a huge THANK YOU!!!!! to our wonderful friends in Tennessee that have so blessed us with items to take to these children and adults in the hospital. To Lights Chapel Baptist Church, Greenbrier, TN for all the prayer blankets, clothes and games they have made and collected for us. To Kim Pitt, White House, TN for all the knitted and crocheted scarfs, hats, crosses and bookmarks. We spread most of these items out in our footlockers that we brought back to Ecuador, except for the final locker that we packed which was all prayer blankets.

Let me back up just a bit to explain to those who don't know what a prayer blanket is. These blankets are made by the women of Lights Chapel Baptist Church. They are prayed over for healing and comfort by the entire church. Then they are giving them to us (unbelievable) so they can be passed on the anyone who needs them (mostly the children).

When we returned to Ecuador with ten footlockers and five pieces of luggage, as we went through customs in Guayaquil, we had to put all the items through a scanner. As they came out the other end the customs agents picked two of the footlocker to examine. Debi went over to them and they opened the first locker which was the one with nothing but prayer blankets. Debi explained what and who they were for ant the agent just said "okay close them up". They never looked at any other items. - Thank You Lord.

This day at the hospital Debi and I were both allowed to go in with Christina, a volunteer at the hospital and our interpreter. We were able to go into a couple of rooms to talk to teenage boys and their mothers about Jesus and pray with them for healing and comfort and give the boys a blanket. One of the boys had just come out of surgery having had a brain tumor removed.

Then we were taken into an area that we were told that most people never get a chance to go into. We again had the opportunity to talk and pray with a 17 year old boy and his mother. He has bone cancer.

After that we went to the activities area and sat down with six children from 4 to 14 years old and their mothers. Our translator told them that we were very special visitors and that one of them even looked like Papa Noel (Santa Claus) and had even brought presents. We all sat around the table, joined hands and prayed together for the healing of these precious children.

We could not take pictures of the children, so we just took pictures of the basket of blankets and of us outside the hospital.

Please pray for these beautiful children.
