Die ersten paar Tage in Quito

Nachdaem mir Quito am erschte Tag z´Fuess erkundet hei, si mer am Sunntig mit ere Seilbahn (teleferiQo)uf 4100m ufe gfahre, um die Stadt vo obe ahdsluege. Und es isch ou grad es guets Hoehetraining gsi! Mir si bis uf 4400m ufe glofe. Isch scho grad chli es angers Schnuufe und Loufe i dere Hoechi. Aber mir heis guet ueberstande :-)

Am Maentig hei mer mit der Spanischschueu ahgfange. Uesi Lehrerin heisst Wilma und isch mega naett. Mir choei ues jetz nach zwe Taeg doch scho es bitzeli unterhalte. Und mir si natuerlech jede Abe fliissig am Voci lehrae!!

D´Namittaeg nutze mir zum Quito chli ds lehre kenne und luege, wos guete Kaffi git. Das isch gar nid so eifach.

And for our English speaking audience a short summary - after having spent the first day on foot in Quito(2850 a.s.l), T & C challenged themselves the second day by taking the teleferiQo to the small mountain (4100) starting right at Quito's outer boarder. Walked up to 4400 and felt just slightly out of breath. The beer afterwards was a real treat!
Since Monday Spanish school - si, hablamos español (un poco). Studies in the afternoon in the local coffee bars.
