The Galapagos is amazing! There are nto sufficient words to describe how wonderful they are, but I will try to give you an idea. The animals here do not see humans as a predetor and so have no fear for us, you can therefore get realy close to everything, makes getting good pictures very easy. The seas are full of every fish you can think off, the best things we have seen are Silver tiped reaf sharks, from our diggy, sea turtles, and most of us even swam and played with sea lions the other day when snorkeling. Its all been amazing, the Islands seem to be pulling out all the stops for us, we have seen everything that we would want, and were only half way through, infact we have seen things that are very special added bonus's including a hump back whale. Today we have come to a bit of civilisation, to Santa Cruz, the most populated place in the Galapagos, here is the home also of the largest population of Giant Tortoises, we have seen hundreds. This afteroon, we went to the Darwin research centre to see how they are trying to bring up the numbers!

The boat that we are traveling on is amazing, the Isabella II, its very luxurious, and the seas are fairly calm, although dad and Lauren are still pretty sea sick. We have taken millions of photos and even some video clips under water and above of all the amazing things. The other passengers are all very friendly, and Polly seems to be doing her usual trick of getting them all to think shes the sweetest thing in the world, wich she is (NOT).

Anyway, internet is not good on boats, we can send a single email for $6 via satelite, so we will not be emailing for a few more days when we return to Quito.

Hopefully we will continue sailing withour ice burgs and post the next entry early next week. x

our arrival etc.
My dear Lauren , Marcus and Polly and the aged 100 percenters I am commanded by SWMBO to write to you in the following terms ! Dear All 2 weeks to-day we set off hoping all is OK with Iberian Airlines. Heathrow has been chaotic 'cos of the scare. We loved the Galapogos. On a small boat for 8 people and we could pop off - swim anywhere. Did you do the big walk at Altidude ? You'll love Cusco - do try to go to Larco musuem: it's special and lunch in the courtyard is 4 star. Good luck on the Inca trail. We arrive La Paz at 2000 and will be taken to Hotel Rosario where we expect you will be . Love from G and I

Hello
We have just updated ourselves on your latest travels. Certainly does sound like the trip of a lifetime. You are going to find things very boring when you get back. Enjoy the rest of your time. We leave Ireland tomorrow after four and a half weeks of excellent weather on the whole. Marianne would be proud of me as I have done quite alot of swimming - not quite addicted yet. Looking forward to hearing more about it when you get back. Lots of love, and glad Lauren had a great birthday XXXXX
