Baños
Im the king of baños!Arriving in Bańos in the morning after a long overnite bus from the coast was a much welcomed surprise. Bańos is a small town located in a lush green valley with an active volcano overlooking it, and is full of adventure travel things to do. The first day we spent the morning catching up on lost sleep in the nicest hostel we have stayed in so far, called Hostal Marquez. We got a spacious room with really comfy beds, with a nice balcony and a view of the main waterfall in Bańos called the Virgin. We decided to do a night tour of the active volcano nearby, and got driven in an open aired “Chivy” truck blasting reggaeton music with 20 other people that took us to a viewpoint of Bańos. It was raining pretty hard so we didn’t get much of a view, but we learned about the facts of the volcano and how Bańos is prepared for its expected big-one.
The next day we rented quads to take us to the top of one of the mountains overlooking Bańos. It was going all good until we hit some rocky terrain and my back left wheel rolled off. Luckily

Baños at night we were going uphill at the time, otherwise I could have gone off the mountain and possibly even died in Bańos! I was pretty choked, but at least Nolan still had his quad to take us both back to the rental spot. Later that night we went out for a night of dancing and hanging out with the locals. The last night in Bańos we hit a thermal hot spring close to our hostel, which had 3 pools…..one very hot, one very cold, and one that was just right. It was a nice way to finish off our time in Bańos.

We have quads here in Oakland too, the only hills they use them on is on speed bumps. Tell Nolan I said what's up, how is his spanish going?
