on the way to Tayrona Parkon the way to Tayrona Parkon the way to Tayrona Park

with a bunch of greaaat people... Colombia, Germany, Peru, Costa Rica and Romania :)
This adventure started on Saturday morning when I left with some of the coolest AIESEC people Santa Marta heading for Baranquilla where we were suppose3d to spend the next 5 days. The event, SDL, Leadership Development Seminar, was absolutely great. Though we spent 5 days in a hotel, without the chance to visit Baranquilla, it was 100 % a success. The very best students in Colombia, some of the top minds, interesting debates, fun challenging activities, everything was new and fun and exciting. And after spending the entire day talking, exposing ideas , arguing on different issues concerning youth, politics, the world in general, we had parties every single night . Partying til down and waking up again at 8.30 for the new day of conferences...it was exhausting but at the same time a challenge. After this crazy week we returned to Santa Marta, got here at 12.00 at night, only to wake up at 8.00 and go to Tayrona Park with the MC, Selma from Peru, the SDL Chair, Juan, a guy from Porto Rico who had a traineeship in Cluj and imagine how small is the world!! knew my Waldo 😊, and a bunch of people from Manizales...also a guy

having dinner, dancing and sleeping in a bathroom :)) after climbing wet rocks and walking for one hour in the rain
from germany who had finished his traineeship in South America... who knows Tayrona Park knows what I am talking about when I say that it is pure jungle but that there isn t anything more beautiful on earth.. on Thursday night we wanted to sleep on a small beach so we had to cross some gigantic rocks in order to get there.. of course, with all our stuff, our backpacks and the food, everything. It wasn t an easy job..finally we did it. When we got to the other side, it started to rain..only a few drops. The thing is the security guards had spotted us and most likely our intention to sleep on the beach. The waves weren t very friendly so they urged us to go back. The rocks started to get wetter and wetter, we were soaking wet , a girl slipped trying to cross a rock, Sergio slipped trying to help me cross a peak, the indigenous in charge with the tourists security were talking by walkie talkie asking for a ship or something to help us get back safe ans sound. Finally we decided to try and make our way step by step, on the

only singing... nothing really happened...or did it ??? !! :)))
wet rocks.. it took about 10-15 minutes, we were moving heavily, slowly, helping each other, waiting for everybody to cross every stone at a time, with no rush, hoping that it would finally stop raining, showing to the next one where to put the foot, where it is safe to lean, where we sholudn t step.. finally we all got on the other side... and from there through the jungle again, with no lights, still raining, soaking wet, to a campus with no hammocks available, but with a huge bathroom which soon became kitchen, living room , bedrooms and shelter for all of us til 6.00 in the morning when we headed to the beach. It was amazing, singing , improvising music and dances, drinking beer and ron to keep warm, sleeping on the cold marble, holding each other, and freezing anyway..
