Hola everyone

Frustrated with being nearly a month into our journey and not being able to share photos easily, we decided to join travelblog to keep a journal of our trip and to easily share photos with everyone back home who wants to see them.

As a result the first part of this log is all a bit past tense, as we´re currently twenty days in and in our second country...

We started in Santiago, Chile´s capital, where we spent a few days in a swanky hotel and checking out the sights.

The view from our top floor room in Santiago (unfortunately a bit lopsided). The Andes were hidden behind thick smog in this photo, but were visible at dawn and dusk. The photo does the view no justice.

Grace posing casually in the Plaza de Armas - the heart of Santiago, from where all distances in Chile are measured.

Cheesy grins from the top of the city! This is taken on top of a beautiful hill in the heart of the city, full of trees, shady spots and lizards, and a nice break from the smog and the buses.

Santiago is noisy and hectic, but the crowds of people occaisionally bustle you towards quiet little corners like this one
