Arica je priblizne na vnutornom zlome kontinentu. Trochu viac do vnutrozemia je vidiet biely flak - to je Salar de Uyuni v Bolivii
Summary in English:
We moved to the Tacna - the town on the Peru-Chilean border from the Arequipa. We took a taxi transfer car from there to cross the border. We decided for the taxi after few not very sucesfull tries to get information about bus. The cross of the border was easy going and taxi took us to the bus terminal in Arica. We did not have any plans where to go next. So we studied there information from our Lonely Planet. Because we were finally down from the high altitude enjoing hot wheather, we wanted to stop at the ocean somewhere. And we found out that the Arica is a popular beach place for the Chileans. So it was decided. We stayed in Arica. It was wery late to look for an accomodation. So we took an accomodation from the man who offered it to us at the bus station. We did not like it very much so next morning we found cheaper place with not so much restrictions, just opposite the bus station.
Then we went to the city centre. The city is modern. Yes, wewere back in Chile. The difference was clear. We went to the hill

with the Jesus statue which stands just over the town. You can see the whole Arica from here. Arica is town in the middle of the desert just the ocean is from one side of it. It is very strange feeling to see all the desert around. Then we headed to the beach to enjoy little bit of swim. That was really all we did in Arica and the next day there was just 28 hours in bus to Santiago through the desert country.

Bolo to pre nas nieco neuveritelne - pust sme este nikdy nevideli.
