One morning, I woke up and decided...it's time to get going on my mission...Don't be such a lazy bastard and let Santa Cruz comfort you...It reminded me of my life in Asia a bit...Very relaxing place to stay...Do you what you want...Do it whenever you want...with whomever...
Ok...Corumba...Have you been to border towns with Brazil?...a bit dangerous...a bit (laugh)...Brazil with Bolivia is another story...What do you think where the majority of hardcore drugs enter into Brazil...Of course...Its' from dirt cheap Bolivia...Corumba is not really a place to linger long...But...Brazilian encounters...Brazil...Hang on...it's Brazil...a friendly place...just befriend whomever you want...all friendly...I actually stayed in a very comfy hotel for a few days...
Unfortunately it's all about drugs and I decided to rather leave...Police was bothering every foreigner just to check on you...Perhaps you were here to buy such stuff...
No, not me...I met a sweet girl in Santa Cruz, she was a beautiful Bolivian from the Amazon region...She was working in Corumba...I was searching for again...Could not find her...
I went to the bus station to buy a ticket for an overland bus to Campo Grande...There I met an Austrian guy who was married to a Brazilian woman from Rio and they move together to
Corumba...Well...Let's say after he lost most of his money on a business he invested in, just to see it stolen by family members...Wooh...I thought that's only happening in South East Asia...How wrong was I...It's truly happening everywhere in the "third world"...It's hilarious actually...why?...Well...The stories I have encountered over my past 22 years traveling in Asia, I could write a book of a thousand pages...It's hilarious, because I keep meeting those dumb foreigners turning from tourist to to "person non grata" by overstaying visas in any country...
Once I met a guy in Thailand...He was overstaying his visa for 20 years...yes, it's true...Ok...that's for another story.
I meet quite strange people on my travels...I am sure that I am to a large part of the encounters...My personality is this way...I am happy about it...I meet many rich people as well...Let's put it this way...I meet people who are very much out if the not so ordinary crowd just as I am...Often with interesting stories I can feed on...I have lots of stories myself other people easily feed on...
Yes...in case you wonder...It's the launching pad into the Pantanal...Have fun...I am not a tourist...I am a well seasoned traveler...Well seasoned with salt and premium black
pepper...Just the way I like it most.
Ok, forget about it for the moment...let's catch that bus to Campo Grande...I am on a mission...I am on a mission...
