Ok so this is not going to be your typical travellers blog. On the 9th April 2005 me and Gina got married on the Ilha Bela.

As a lot of our friends and family couldnt make the journey to Brazil we thought that we would add this diary so that we could tell you about the most perfect of days.

Where to start , all the planning , preparing , and worrying paid off in style. The day went perfectly. We booked a small chapel on the beach (Praia Grande) on Ilha Bela which was decorated beautifully, Gina turned up (which was an absolute bonus!) and looked sensational , the weather held (and we had been promised thunderstorms) which meant the whole setting with the church, the sand and the sea looked better than we thought possible. My family and friends journeyed to Brazil and combined with Ginas family and our Brazilian friends it made it even more special.

After the ceremony we headed to Le Petit Pois for the evening reception. Where we treated to a gourmet meal , a live guitarist and plenty of champagne. My Dad (having drunk a strong caparinha and copious amounts of red wine) gave a speech in Portuguese which was met with raptorous applause. The evening continued in much the same vain and myself and my new wife left the party about 1am having drunk far too much champagne (but not as much as my Mum I might add !!).

And that was it , one perfect day !

These photos were taken by our friends at the wedding , so although you wont get the colour (they are all black and white) you will hopefully get the feeling of the day.

All the best to each of you reading.

The new

Mr and Mrs Tinsley !!!!
