First day of sigtseeing today and took the cable car trip up sugar loaf mountain. Weather was good and gave some amazing views of Rio from the top (even saw some sort of monkey sat in a tree at the top).

In the afternoon we went to Santa Theresa, a hilltop part of Rio famous for its Colonial houses, musicians & artists. Best part was riding an old open-sided tram for 20 minutes to get to the top, with kids just using it as a toy and jumping on and off. Scariest was when we got to a bridge that goes 30 metres above a busy main road, and the kids ran along the top of the bridge on top of the railings next to the tram.
