Finished stay in Sao Paulo with tasty Sushi feast in Japanese quarter, before sneaky visit to exclusive 360 viewing platform for great night views over city with Christmas lights. Next day travelled through some remaining temperate rainforest en route to upland university city of Curitiba, with signature modernist eye shaped gallery designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. First rain of trip compensated for by drinking Caiparinhas and eating local cakes including caramel donut-like Churros. A long overnight bus ride dropped us at Fox de Iguazu for visit to stunning waterfalls on Brazil/Argentina border. Cataracts extended through hot and steamy jungle with lots of butterflies, fox-like coatis and iguanas. Took power boat right up to falls for exhilarating but very wet ride.
