So, what have we been up to since our last blog?

Stayed in a place called Florianopolic - on the isla de Santa Catarina. Rented a quality apartment for the same price as a hostel which was pretty cool. Florianopolis was lovely... however we had one or two encounters - one of which i´ll leave til we get home!! Considering its such a touristy place we were surprised that so few people spoke English but figured we´re all pretty streetwise so ventured out on our own to a beach a bit further away. Well our sense of direction is obviously shot to sh*t as we plodded around in the boiling hot sun unable to find any water! So we ventured home - another mission - to our beach at praia de ingleses. The next day we decided it may be safer just to get a taxi and drove to the Lagao de concepcao - basically a massive lagoon in the middle of the island. After spending a few hours there we jumped on the bus for an apparently simple bus ride home... 2 hours later we got home!!

So now we are in Foz de Iguazu, where there is the great waterfall that borders brasil, argentina and Paraguay. Words really can´t explain how beautiful it is so i´ll just let the pictures do the talking.

Went to the Brasilian side first where we figured we may aswell splurge and went on a boat ride along the river into the falls near the devils throat - was excellent but note to other travellers - just wear a bikini coz they tend to reverse under the waterfall and filçl the boat up with water! As if that wasn´t enough we didcided to get an aeial view which i personally was cacking my pants over but didn´t get a chance to back out as they whooshed us off the the chopper straight away and then we were in the air - gripping Jemmma´s hand very tightly! Really pleased i did it was well worth it even though i dont think i exhaled for the ten minutes we were in the air!!

So wer´re off tomorrow on annother killer bus journey to Buenos Aires where we hear the shopping and nightlife is great so don´t expect another blog for a while!!

shower
Hi girls so you finally managed to have a shower that must feel great. The pictures look wonderful so glad you didnt fall in. I assume the coach ride was booked for overnight so as to save money on accom.if so you must take after your father Gina as I prefer to spend money. The paper says that the flip flops in Brasil cost a couple of pound but sell for about £30 over here you could get a little side line going. Any way take care of one another. Love to you all kiss kiss cuddle cuddle xx Love Den and john xx

Gosh, these pictures look heavenly. Wish I was with you. You are all looking very well and seem to be travelling lots. I presume you are having a bit of a quiet time before you start the Inca trail. Saw Rory - he is beautiful - he sends his love as all the Clan does. AB got your piccies while I was there - said can she join you. Keep the news coming - we look forward to the blobs arriving. I presume the travelling out there is different from the coaches etc here. Love to you all and take care xx

girls aloft
Super pics of the Iguasa falls. Hope you didn't need to spend to much at the laundrette after the chopper ride - that really would be a double whammy!. By coincidence, last night on TV, they showed the falls in a programme about building the Itaipu hydro-electric dam (world's biggest) just a few miles up river. Guess you are now at Buenos Aires resting saddle sores again. I read that the steaks are really great in BA and you have to visit a tango club - plenty info at the Cultural Centre in the city. Boca juniors are the big football team in BA in case of withdrawal symptoms. Adios.
