Yet another long bus journey to get to Foz do Iguaçu but hey this time the trip was only 24 hours!!!! We arrived at around 3pm and after talking to the guys in our hostel decided to wait til the following day to visit the falls.

The Argentinian side of the falls allows you to get really, really close to individual waterfalls, while the Brazilian side of the falls gives you a complete overview. We decided to do the Argentinian side first. So the following morning we had a yummy breakfast in the hostel and then walked the short distance to the bus stop to get the bus to the Argentinian side of the falls. The bus stops at the border crossings where you get the appropriate stamps, etc. Once we arrived to the park we started by visiting the famous Devils Throat!!!! All I can say is absolutely amazing. The amount of water you see flowing over the falls and the sheer power is certainly a very humbling experience. For the remainder of the morning we wandered around the park and visited the rest of the falls. The weather was really nice, allowing lots of rainbows waterfalls to form

The two of us had an amazing day. Such a beautiful place
over the falls.

That evening we headed to the Brazilian side of the falls and although most people say they prefer the Argentinian side, our heart was definitely with the Brazilian side. The overview it provided of all the falls was amazing and I think the pictures speak for themselves. We even manged to catch the sunset on the Brazilian side, a sight that took our breath away!

That night we headed to a local sushi bar and treated ourselves to a nice glass of wine and some gorgeous teppanyaki food!!! Definitely a nice change from all the meat, rice and beans.

Both of us hope to return to the falls one day and we'd definitely recommend the experience to anyone.... but remember you have to see both sides of the falls :-)
