Hey Eveyone,

After a day of recovery, we took a 12 hour bus from La Paz to Uyuni to start our 3 day 2 night tour of the slat flats, lagoons, geysers and hot springs in the southwestern portion of Bolivia. We thought that we would get a good sleep on the bus, so we decided to have our tour start the morning we arrived. WELL... the bus just drove through a field for 10 plus hours of the journey, making a very load and buppy ride... oh well! We were pumped for the tours, and tired! The first day we saw a train cemetary, they burry the train here and the slat flats, it rained off and on, but they were awesome. The horizon is really weird so we have some pretty funny pictures. We made good friends with another couple on the tour and ended up meeting them in Argentina a week later to be in salta and the 23 hour bus ride to iguazu falls! The first day we also went to a place called fish island, which was covered in catus.... on the way back to our hotel, which was made completely from salt, we were

sitting on the top of the 4X4! We also had llama steaks for lunch, which were really good! The second day there was alot of driving, and not much seeing, but we saw some pretty lagoons and lots of flamingos! The 3rd day we went to the hot springs which were sweet and then transfered into San pedro de atcama Chile, which was a tourist trap and we spent the whole day trying to find a way out... along with about 10 others! The people there said there were not buses out until a week later, we we ended up paying way too much to pretty much be smuggled out of the country into Argentina, along with ten others.... that was a 17 hour day that was supposed to be only 8! hahah But we ended up meeting great people and we were able to meet up withour friends from the salt flat tour in Salta and we got on a 23 hour bus to Peurto iguazu!

let us know what you think!
love,
Randi and Quinn
