Our second was pretty much mostly on the road. We stopped first at the stone tree (el Arbol de Piedra) which is a rock that looks like a tree (really?). The other rocks around it were just as great.
Then we stopped at 4 different lakes: Laguna Honda, Laguna Hedionda, Laguna and Laguna Negra. The latter is more interesting, first because of the vegetation around but also because it´s really deep and dangerous (there is an underwater current that sucks whatever is in the middle of the lake!). Also the rocks around the lake were amazing (check out the mushroom-shaped rocks!).
then we went to see the still active Volcano Ollague.
We finally stopped at a salt hotel at 3650 metres high. The hotel is basically made of salt: furniture, walls and the ground is just salt, which is a pain when you have to shower - at least we had hot water that night!). And off to bed early because the morning after we had to get up early to watch the sunrise on the salt flat.
