Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
This is our transport for the next 3 days. After we finally got it started, we had our first of two flat tires within an a hour. It was then we discovered the jack didnt work and we had no tools. We ended up digging the tire out with the wheel brace.

Sol de Manana
These arent the sort of mud pools that are good for your skin (300 deg C.) The altitude at 4,950m will leave you breathless.

Lake Colorada
Yes - the water is red. No - I didnt try drinking it even if the Llamas do.

strange rocks
We encounted lots of strange rock formations over the three days.

In Bolivia I have seen several very unusual statues that look as though they were done by a cartoonist.

Salt Hotel
A hotel made of salt in the middle of the salt plains.

Fish Island
An island in the middle of the salt plains which is covered with huge cactus that is over 1000 years old.

Cementerio de Trenes
Where trains go to die.

getting around
Bus travel in Bolivia is nothing at all like Chile or Aregentina!
