The salt flats were fabulous-probably our favouirite part of Boliva!

Denise made us climb the hill at 7am before breakfast. We were freezing, it may look sunny but the temperature was about 0 degrees!

Denise was our new tour guide and she liked to keep us active!

That is salt not snow you can see and the lake is a pink colour due to the salt content. There were pink flamingos, you just cant see them in the photo!

This was the only heater in the building-last registered temp. was -5 degrees C at about 8pm! That was a cold night!

The sun wasn't up yet and the brick 'building' you can see is where you are meant to change, needless to say none of us bothered!

This was our driver! He spoke no English and our Spanish was minimal but we found a common love for 'Old School' dance music! Here he is dancing to 'Pump up the Volume'!

The entire building was made of salt, including all tables and chairs! It was the warmest place we stayed while in Uyuni!

The island literally appears from nowhere. We had breakfast here in the sunshine. It is also where Kelly and Dan got engaged!
