After catching a nasty bout of the rudimentary 'Bolivian Belly' our time in La Paz has sadly been dedicated to investigating the health services here rather than really getting to know the city. We have however managed to explore a little and have some photos to prove it!

We managed to make it to Tiwanaku, a pre-inca settlement just outside of the city. Seeing the ruins was interesting as were some titbits of information given to us by our guide. Notice the word some... sadly she was a bit too keen of the sound of her own voice. Ellie managed to stay amused however by the English translations.

Also worth a mention is our hostel 'adventure brew'. They looked after us fantastically and even have a micro brewery on site which kept Steve happy. On the penultimate night they hosted a toga party and Steve having never been to one before got a little overexcited and insisted on donning his bedsheets with Ellie as costume designer... and he won! Sadly due to our impending departure he was unable to claim his prize, (a ride on the 1.5km zip wire over death valley) and was instead given a stein of beer!
