La Paz the place and the card game

After a bumpy overnight bus ride from Uyuni we arrived in the capital city of La Paz at around 7am in the morning, as the sun was only beginning to make its appearance it was quite cold and the bus stopped at a side road rather than in an actual bus station!! Locating a taxi which looked sort of official we headed to the Wild Rover hostel where I had tried to make an email reservation the day before. At the desk they had no record of the reservation and no space, unless we wanted to pay for an additional night so we headed across the road to see if they had any space. Here were were greeted with room at the inn however, one of the guests came into reception and complained she had been electrocuted by the shower! Brim and I made a sharp exit without another word!
Things were starting to look a bit bleak when we walked into the Loki hostel and told they were completely full, however a guy told us about another hostel, taxi ride away called Adventure Brew that he could recommend and said he even preferred it to the Loki! The hostel called Adventure Brew to ensure they had space and we arrived 😊
