Coroico, Bolivia February 4-9, 2007

After our adventure on the Tupiza-Uyuni circuit, we left Uyuni by train for Orouro where we briefly stopped to confirm our hostal for the famous Carnaval before taking a bus to La Paz. Arrving to the Bolivian capital, we immediately took another bus for Coroico where we stayed for couple of days of hamac, pool and reading.

The road between La Paz and Coroico has the international reputation of the world's most dangerous road... however, we took a colectivo which used the newly paved road leading to this village. The sinuous but safer road was surrounded by cliffs and lust mountains. After three hours, we finally arrived in the charming and quiet village of Coroico. The view from our room was spectacular....we could see all the mountains surrounding us and the numerous vultures flying over our heads...let's say it was the perfect setting to enjoy reading in our hamac!

Next stop: La Paz
