Fall is coming and winter follows
A lot of our time is spent walking on streets like this. Not to shabby. Hola,
I have seen quite a bit since my last post but to give you an overview: meat, never better, and beauty. Meat refers to the absolute favorite and practically ridiculous food of choice. Never better refers to never seeing any waterfall better than Iguazu falls. Beauty refers to the people of Santa Fe and Rosario. Each place has been great, the bus rides have been long, and I am loving South America!
Buenos Aires (BA) is a very big city that is full of diversity. BA is similar to New York City in that it consists of multiple burrows. Each burrow is very distinct. Each one you visit has the feel of a different city. We stayed in the historical part of town and the streets are lined with very old and very beautiful buildings. A cafe culture is emerging in BA and it is fantastic. My favorite part of this culture is that there is no such thing as being in a hurry. You get to take your time eating, drinking, talking, relaxing, reading or whatever else you desire. An interesting point here is that one man we spoke to was saying that drinking coffee

A great escape from the busy city. and having food at the same time is strange. Whether it is strange or not I love to drink coffee with my meals, so I do it.
The people of BA wake up early (just as we do), have a light breakfast (unlike we do), have a very long lunch (unlike we do), have a mid day nap (unlike we do), have a tea time/coffee break before dinner (unlike we do), then do whatever they do until at least 10 when they will start thinking about consuming dinner (unlike we do). One bus ride we stopped at 12:30 AM to get ¨dinner¨, hopefully that put´s that into Each meal of the day has one foundation, MEAT! and then a second foundation MEAT!, and a third foundation, oh yeah you guessed it, MEAT!
A 16 hour bus ride took us to Puerto Iguazu and the greatest waterfall I have ever seen. The town itself is really small but quite nice. We had no place to stay when we arrived but all it took to change that was a walk across the street from the bus station. A common theme of this trip is a large dorm room
MEAT
Would you like a side of chicken with your steak, sausage, and pork? Yes please! with us being the only ones there. I love it! Approaching Iguazu falls is great. First, you see the mist. Second, you hear the roar. Third, you see something absolutely amazing. I am a man that loves anything to do with water so this was an extra special event for me. So much water, so many cascades, and such a lack of grammatical ability to describe this place with justice. Simply, I loved it.
A 16 hour bus ride took us to Santa Fe. Santa Fe is a place that we had never heard of and couldn´t find in any of our guide books. So why did we go there? Well, I wasn´t about to take a bus that traveled for over 24 hours and it seemed like a good place to base some day trips. Not the best reason but it panned out to be a great idea. The city had a feel of a college town. The city was young, relaxed, and also vibrant. We walked some pedestrian streets, saw some beautiful plaza´s, and saw some beautiful people. There must be something in the water because it doesn´t seem possible that so many attractive people can
The devils throat
I have never seen better! gather in one city. The beauty of the people must add to my feeling of the city.
A 1 hour bus ride took us to Rosario. This is where I currently am and my impression of the place is favorable. The people here are also beautiful, the sites are exceptional, and I was able to get my first great vantage point. Similar to my love of water I love being up high! In the middle of an independence monument there was an obelisc type structure that we were able to ascend. The view was great view and we were right next to a river so it was perfect for me.
So far I am really enjoying the trip. A break from my normal routine makes things interesting. We have done a lot of walking and a lot of seeing. Obviously this can be exhausting but we are holding up alright. My feet hurt a little, and my sleep is a lot sounder. Showers are more welcome, and a long meal has never been better.
Happy 22nd birthday to my traveling partner Dylan! Tonight we celebrate! If you do not know already, he is also
