Downtown El Calafate------just 2 main ripio streets in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful scenery and with all the services, good food and nice people you could ever want or need. I loved it!

The beginning of the Luguna Torre trail. The LP guide--------lying bastards------describe this as "a gentle initial climb." It wasn't. Though the initial hard part was probably less than half a mile or so, it was extremely steep and was absolute hell on our knees on the return trip.

After the "gentle initial climb" the trail was good all the way to the laguna...

From this viewpoint, the trail takes you down the valley and around to the right where you'll find Laguna Torre.
