Anna´s Birthday today, so woke up at 6:30 to give her her cards and present. Breakfast was waiting for us and set off to work with Reynaldo at 8. Spent the day doing odd jobs which included cleaning the bird cages, feeding the pigs and catching a monkey! We sat on a bench with a piece of string attatched to the cage door, and waited for one of the monkeys to go back in from it´s play time in the surroundig tree´s. How they ever found out that some monkeys were able to be let out and return safely is a mystery, but it´s nice that they are allowed out of the cages for a bit.

Aida had prepared a special birthday meal for Anna which was chicken and pasta followed by birthday cake and champaigne. The family sang happy birthday in English (which meant Flor missed out on her siesta for the day to teach Aida the words!) and we all sat chatting for about 2 and half hours... a really good night.
