Ola from Buenos Aires!

Before we head down to Patagonia on Wednesday we wanted to give you an update on The Iguassu Falls and Buenos Aires itself....

The Falls were absolutely amazing. We would have to say that it is by far the best thing we have seen so far, perhaps ever.....it left us speechless. See for yourself on the pics although they barely do it justice.

As for Buenos Aires, we arrived on Saturday and Anna treated us both to a night at one of the most luxurious hotels BA has to offer (see www.faenahotelanduniverse.com). Complete pampering by the infinity pool in the afternoon followed by dinner and tango show in the evening. The big comfy bed and power shower were more than a welcome relief to our tired bodies.

We have since downgraded 4 stars.....2 single beds and insects in the bath for company.

The city itself is very different from Rio. A lot more commercial but some quarters have plenty of charm, character and, of course, street dancers doing the tango. Boca has been our favourite area, home to the multi-coloured buildings of Caminito and Argentina´s prodigal son, El Diego.

Tomorrow will be the start of our 20 hour coach journey south to Puerto Madryn where we hope to spot a few elephant sea lions and whales. Until the next time take care and much love. X X
