We left Uyuni on an overnight bus and crossed the border into Argentina first thing the next morning. There were some Columbians at the border crossing with us that were given a much harder time by customs. In total, it was a 20 hour bus ride before we reached Salta, in northwestern Argentina. The difference in road quality, after crossing into Argentina, was immediately noticable. We partied one night in Salta and then continued east to Iguazu Falls, on the border with Brazil. We had left he Andes and returned to the jungle. Away with the shoes and pants and back to the shorts and sandals!
