Hola chicos
Stayed in Rosario for two nights and only had a day there as was just meant to be a short stop between places. Was a lovely student city and our hostel people were so nice! Got up on the first morning at like 12.30 and a woman i hadnt even met came up and said hi hector heres your breakfast. I was like errr thanks but who are you? she worked at the hostel and had learnt everyones names from there passport fotos! Thats commitment.
Went to che gavaras house, cept was just a sign outside an apartment block so nothing special, ticked it off the list tho! then went to see a "spectacular altar" as the guide book described it, it was ok. then went to the place were the first argentinian flag was raised on a tower with a mini square in front of it. Saw the other group there so keep bumping into them! kinda awkward. We were in a student city so decided to act like students and get some daytime drinking in which lead to doing boyband poses on trees in the park then playing hearts in a bar and had a
whole baby cow for dinner it was epic.
So the hostel also had a guy that looked like he played heavy metal but he was sooooo nice! And he "played" the flute. Haha he really couldnt play without his sheet, and when his gf held it up for him he sounded pretty good. The only thing was that the sheet just said "la laa laa la" and stuff like that so dont know how he was using that to play notes? but hey i dont play the flute so........
Checked out and got the bus to cordoba and checked into Link Hostel which was pretty nice! A guy who is working for deloitte and is english and likes football is staying there so potential male friend, cept he was leaving that night....... girls again. Next day we got a tour with the most racist, sexist and boringist person ever! first thing he said was saying how there were no coloured people and smiled whilst he said it, then he explained that the tram system was run by only woman because the trams were simple and made in belarus. We literally just drove around in his car
for 3 hours then went to a couple of churches. He also laughed at the fact that the people who built one church believed jesus was asian...... So thats the last time we try and be culture vultures and do touristy stuff! Got a kilogram of icecream to myself on the way home, was only 3 pounds so i thought why the hell not!!
That night we played some dutch drinking games with dice that involved lying a lot so started off pretty well at that then as i got tipsy i completely lost it and got cocky! ended up being pretty wasted. was a fun night that involved dancing with an old indian man, screaming the grease meddly and getting a salame sandwich and a olive hotdog for em. So was a good night. In fact it was so good that we literally did nothing the next day, watched rocky balboa, friends and csi then went to bed! haha
Honestys birthday was a super douchous day! Started with a champagne breakfast which instantly made me burp and fart so didnt have much of that! then we meandered to find a bar that had the champions league final on. So Chelsea won, I absolutely loved it and was so happy!!! had a few beers whilst watching it and ended up being pretty tipsy as tried to play a drinking game to it so the girls enjoyed it as well! I have never breathed less in two hours my heart tried to explode! was so nervous. We then walked home whilst i chanted about chelsea, singing blue is the colour etc which promptly got boring for the girls! Came back and gloated to everyone in the hostel, including 3 arsenal fans which was pretty fun! We then went out to a way too posh restaurant for how many drinks we had had and slightly embarrassed ourselves at the start! Honesty shouted mon anniversaire at the waiter. Anyways had a wicked steak and some malbeck which the girls are obsessed with! Got back to the hostel and surprised honesty with a cake, and everyone in the hostel sang and joined. Then we played a 20 person round of ring of fire and headed out to a club. Photos from the night are hilarious and the club was sooooo fun, again a lot of singing and dancing (and honesty kissed an 18 year old 😊). Got back at 7 in the moring!
Felt horrendous getting up for rockclimbing this morning but managed it! Luci came and picked me and honesty up then we drove for 2 hours to the sierras! stopping once to let honesty be sick at the side of the road which i absolutely loved! When we got there I was the rope guy for Luci to climb up and set up the route which was fun! then i gave it a go. Completely got the wobblies up there! at one stage i was just sprawled flat against the rock unable to go anywhere, a lot of hilarious sounds came out my mouth and i took about an hour to do the route! But i made it yay!!!! Any of you would have literally loved to see me like that. Think im usually a bit daredevilly but rockclimbing reduced me to an absolute pansy and entertained the others! Honesty was way better than me, haha and whilst she was doing it i ended up chundering as well, so luci thought we were crazy to come climbing after such a big night and found it very entertaining! I had half a tomato for lunch as couldnt stomach anymore then did a bit more and headed home in the ridiculously thick fog!!!
Heading to Medoza on an overnight bus tonight so byesies!
love love
