Hi guys!
Just a quick one because we're leaving Buenos Aires tonight and taking a 17 hour coach journey North to the Iguazu Falls (what a way to spend valentines day).
The last few days have mainly been planning the next month or so of travelling, we have booked our accommodation for the next 3 weeks or so. We're now feeling more organised and relaxed as we know where we are heading and when.
There isn't a huge amount to report as we've just been getting to know the area and seeing a few sights close by, however, on saturday we headed 3 hours out of BA into a town called Gualeguaychu for their regional carnaval, which happens every weekend throught January and February. It was to say the least amazing, beginning at 10pm and finishing well past 4am, (we wanted to stay longer but had to leave and catch our bus back home).
It was full of thousands of people singing, chanting and generally having a great time. The procession was like nothing we'd ever seen before, the costumes, dancing and partial nudity was completely new to us but everyone was embracing the carnival spirit, with
many of the spectators in fancy dress as well. (See pictures) we took lots of videos and photos but we don't think they do it justice!
We arrived back home, rather worse for wear at 8am and slept until lunchtime whereafter we enjoyed lunch outside, a dip in the pool and an evening by the river sipping a local drink similar to pimms but with fruit and cider. We were then shown Marcos and Luisina's house which is currently being refurbished.
Hope everyone is well, we are really excited about the Iguasu Falls and have heard it exceeds expecations - we'll let you know!

Carnival
The insect looks very scary in the photo, what is it? Their energy must be huge if they Party like that every weekend! Bet you are sad about leaving Marcos et al, what a start, and having arranged your next step makes a lot of sense so you won't have to worry about where you are going to sleep- that would be my biggest worry! I got this just as I was getting my iPad to listen to a story, so good timing. All well here, Josh you will be glad to know that I have got an Extreme Quilting workshop tomorrow night to learn how to make a Log Cabin! Haha! Love and miss you darlings Ma xxxxxxx
