The day before leaving from Salta we found out about the storms in Buenos Aires, and that the cloudy weather would last at least until the weekend (another 4/5 days away). So, the weather wasn't too great for exploring the city at first.

Still, I was able to pack quite a lot into the 8 days that I spent there including drinking .. drinking and, er .. drinking. :-) In between all that I went to see Boca Juniors play, had a Tango lesson and saw an amazing Tango show ... wandered around in Recoleta Cemetery, went to the cinema and saw a lot of Palermo, and city parks on foot. Also I went along to see the famous protest of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo .. who hold a peaceful protest every Thursday in order that the memory of their children who disappeared during the military dictatorship in the 70's can be preserved, and that the current government might finally recognise all that went on.
