a rooftop shot
luna llena, piernas y mi Its been ages since i had something to say or felt like writing, nearly 3 months has passed since i arrived back to Buenos Aires from my tranquilo life in El Bolson, working in hostel heaven. What a memory it will stay, such an amazing place to chill and meet locals and suck up fresh clean country air. Was such a great experience sometimes i wonder why i ever left. Back in the big smokey ciudad is definately a slap in the face and people don´t seem to have as much time for a lazy chat. This is the hardest part of starting from nothing in a new city. A small circle of friends makes finding a flat and a job definately a larger steeper hill to climb. It took sometime to find a place to live after dwelling in stinky cheap hotels, just waiting for someone to break into my dodgy 4 plain white walled room when i was out, with no place to cook a good meal and no one to cook it for.aaaahhhh. to my rescue came Vicky and Luciana, Vicky a friend from Mallorca offerred me her couch and i took it with both manos, the comfort
mi roja room
my new place of rest and solitude of a friends homely environment was just what i needed. Thank you both so much, i only hope i can help you both out someday, you don´t know how much i needed that friendship shoulder to lean on. Was losing hope in my ability to stay in this crazy quilombo city, but since things haven´t gotten easier and i have found a room to rent in San Telmo (the old bohmeian area of buenos aires) and my flatmates have made me feel super welcome and comfortable in there house. Living with 3 argentines and 2 swiss students in a beautiful old house with high ceilings and plenty of room to relax and breath.
Working hasn´t been as easy as first thought, have been selling a book to hostels and bookstores which isn´t what you would call making a living. But through it i have met some good people and it has helped me organise my next venture. Chilled Ingles Conversation Clases in a bar/hostel. Starts this week and hopefully will provide me with the justificaton i need to stay here any longer. Also am working for www.experienceaustrlia.net which is an australian company that helps people from
mi familia de El Bolson
gracias por todo, no voy a olvidar mi verano en El Bolson con Niño, kiwi2B,jefa y Huevon spanish speaking countries find schools to study english, post graduate, diplomas or internships in australia. The idea now is to approach private colleges and universitys and broker deals with the schools to allow me to promote our company and Australia through presentions and advertising. Will be a good test on the espanol which at times talking to some people i still feel like a rookie and with others like everything is under control and the laughs flow freely.
So this email is a lot different to the last few blogs, much more life serious orientated and more of an update of where i am at. I know its not that interesting to hear compared with transparent rivers and lakes, but it helps me to share it to keep me motivated and excited. When you are away from so many special people who are always there when you need a little energy lift or advice it helps me to write sometimes and think of them as im writing. In a way, thinking of them is like getting there advice without talking to each other face to face. Like sitting at a imaginery round table and hearing different
can´t beat campfire onda
asado, singalongs y una chica re linda, mucho gusto Joanna friends points of view and ideas like they are with you for real. I guess travelling alone gives you plenty of time to think hey.
so things on the up and starting to move with positivity. If your thinking of coming to this country and want to make some good friends, there are plenty of good people with an amazing sharing attribute which i have never seen anywhere else so predominantly amongst all the people. I guess sometimes the people with the least share the most hey. Although most people are learning english i can not tell you enough how much better and easier it is if you speak spanish. Take those lessons you been putting off, start today, there are plenty of good sites on the net if you can´t find a teacher or if you want to do some extra homework.
big beso y abrazo por todo.

Stop It.....
Hey bro, it kills me to read this stuff. And the photo's! Oh the photo's. Nearly brings a tear to the eye to see your picture of the hostel gang; especially as they're waving you off at that same bloody bus stop where we parted ways. Glad to hear the Buenos Aires Living is coming together. As long as you persevere bro YOU have the ability to do anything. Seriously! You da Man!
