A de Oebe si mer de einisch is Eva (Evita) Musical gange, einisch i ne Tango Show und mau no suesch a nes Konzaert. Und am Sunntig Namittag si mer no go ne Fuessballmatch luege. D'Heimmannschaft het 5:1 gwunne!! Ds erschte Goal isch scho nach oepe 1re Minute gfalle. Isch es mega Spektakel gsi! Vo so Fans troeime uesi Mannschafte i der Schwiiz wahrschiindlech nume.

For the English audience the ultimative summary: Meat, wine and temperatures around 30 degree celsius. What a town!

And in a few more words:
Got to BUE on Tues. and checked into Livian Guesthouse - from the outside looked just as another old house, from the inside a beautifully restored house that makes you feel comfortable the minute you enter, the 'Kiss-Suite' for a week and a quiet yard in the back to leisure and relax. Strolled through Palermo (part of BUE) that features lovely coffee houses and many small stores that invite you at least for an extended window shopping. That evening we met w/Laurent (old school mate from Obfelden) and Jimena (his girlfriend) at their apartment. First BBQ of that week on their roof terrasse - Chorizo sausage and befo de lomo, salad and 2 excellent bottles of wine.

The next couple of days we visited many different parts of BUE: main centro w/lots of stores where there are good oportunities to get some beautiful leather goods / a cementary where each grave looks is built as a little house or chapel w/marmor and is beautifully decorated / went to a soccer game (River vs. San Lorenzo) and experienced the people's enthusiasm for this sport and all their singing and cheering for their team (much more cheering than at the Swiss hockey games, even though the clubs playing are 'just' local BUE teams - however one of them - Boca - was the one that 'discovered' Maradona a long time ago / saw the musical 'Eva (Evita) Peron / went to a Tango show / luncheons around 2 - 3pm, a little siesta and later had superb dinners with excellent meat and wine every night (mostly after the show, which meant around midnight (and at that time the restaurants are still open and running - similar to what you would find in Spain) / drank Cortado (expresso w/milk toping) at almost every corner

The weather was just amazing - around 30 degree celsius every day and blue sky. What a difference after having seen cold and wind in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego before.
