Montezuma’s Castle

Really badly misnamed by early settlers. Montezuma was never here and it is certainly no castle. What it is instead is an adobe cliffside village inhabited by the same Anasazi or Sinagua people who inhabited this area 1100 until the 1400s.

We had 2 saved timeshare weeks just begging to be used so opted for this trip. Marlene had never been to Vegas, I was there briefly in 1968 ....the part I remembered is now the Historic District of Fremont Street!
