The War Memorial
Just outside the abbey grounds stood this monument to those killed in war. I'm not certain exactly what war(s) this is dedicated to but the town itself has seen more than its fair share: The town of Jedburgh was attacked or occupied in 1296, 1312, 1320, 1409, 1410, 1464, 1523, 1544, 1545, 1547 and 1548. Even the French once occupied it when they came to the aid of the Scots in one of their many conflicts with England.
