... tourists are recommended to take the VIP shuttles that ply the main tourist routes in Guatemala not only for the comfort, but for safety - they usually have seat belts, and are supposedly more well-maintained with better drivers than the public transport locals would take. This shuttle was empty today, with the exception of myself and an albino Mayan village girl sitting on the left. It was a very long ride to Panajachel, as the village girl kept making creepy comments and repeatedly groped me for the duration of the ride.
