Dwellings in the Karoo

The smal ltowns that sparsely dotted the Karoo along the main highway would look very similar. I would fal asleep on the bus for a few hours, wake up, step outside in a new gas-station/fastfood-place/kiosk and it would look EXACTLY like the one before. After some time I didn't dare to sleep anymore, since I wasn't sure if the driver just took us back and forth between two different cities.
