The Christmas elf had lost his boot, and using numbers from the twelve days of Christmas (in the right order of course) we deduced where it lay. Right first time.

Not a wonderful looking day but we had to take Bella for a walk anyway, so we headed north near Oswestry (where we could drop the iPad in to be beaten into submission ) and walked along the canal - where there was plenty of mud as a tractor had been up and down the towpath.
