Tungabhadra River

River that separates the two sides of Hampi; women wash clothes in it, kids play in it and boat drivers charge people to cross it when all that is needed are a couple of planks to put them out of business.

To answer the question I asked at the end of my last blog entry, perhaps it was the right decision to leave. My bill at the Jungle Cafe back on Om Beach was a bit more than I was expecting and I ended up using up all my ₹2,000 - which had been my cash buffer that now no longer existed.
