03 October 2016 By taxi and train we got into Madrid fairly early and managed to fit in many of the main sights in the day. Earlier in this trip we visited Guernica which was destroyed by bombing in the Spanish Civil War. Picasso produced a large and very famous painting depicting the anguish caused by the event.
