Our big outing on Sunday was to Sean's Temple. We traveled to the bus station where we caught a bus that would take us 1.5 hours south to the Buddhist Temple where Sean studies Vipasana Meditation. The bus was a very "local" experience. It broke down before we got out of Chiang Mai but the driver took out his tools, went to work and got it back running in 20 minutes.
