Stayed in Palmerston North, a twilight zone where there were more grey old women than backpackers - felt more like a nursing home! Apparently due to a Quilt Symposium being held in the city! Got out of there quick sharp and took a look around Hastings and Napier including its aquarium. Did the Tongariro Crossing after missing the bus about 3 weeks ago.
