Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park

Pelehonaumea, or Pelé, the Goddess of Fire (or volcanoes depending on what you read or who you talk to). She is said to live in the Halema'uma'u Crater. Pelé is said to have a fiery temper and when Kīlauea erupts, it is because Pelé has been angered.

Hawaii. Yep! it has long been a dream of mine to visit all 50 states. I don't know if I will ever get there, but I do know that Hawaii was the one state I thought FOR SURE would be one I didn't visit! Or the last one I would visit. Why? Because it's so far away!
