The Laxey Wheel (aka Lady Isabella)

The Laxey Wheel was designed by the Victorian engineer Robert Casement, and built in 1854 to pump water from Glen Mooar which was part of the Mines. Laxey Wheel stands at over 72 feet high and is considered the largest working wheel in the world.
