Rio Grande Gorge, north of Taos

There is a bridge crossing this gorge and I felt compelled to walk 1/2 way out to get this picture. Big 18 wheelers made the bridge bounce. Geno, former Airborne, was not bothered; I was highly bothered.

The drive from Bent's Old Fort to the US Air Force Academy was easy. We had advance warning of construction at the North Gate, so went in South Gate, and after a cursory glance at the sticker on the window of the RV and my Retired Civilian Marine card, got waved in.
