I am pleased to say I have at last had contact from Laki. It would seem mobile signal is sparce on the Inca trail - hardly surprising. She is doing fine, having a great time and quote "been walking at the back having a private tour with Ricardo"....the mind boggles. Apparently it is hard work but do-able. Emma and I are climbing Machu in Peru....but just not together! Emma is doing it in 5* luxury and will meet me for the final ascent as she has had a series of mishaps in her training...... It will be the longest time we've spent together. That along with the flight and climb is going to be challenging. Not sure which part will be the most. Will we make it to the top?
