And to top of the day, a great dinner

On our way back to the hotel we stopped in a little shop where we bought a couple of sodas to cool off on this warm day. I was hoping to buy some beer but Ireland has strange liquor lawa where only certain licensed shops can sell booze. I knew I'd get a chance elsewhere. The entire group reassembled outside the hotel restaurant at 6:00. Once we were seated we were given actual menus and allowed to order from a choice of appetizers and entrees instead of the usual "one meal serves all" dinner we got at all the other hotels on our EF trips. I got a very tasty turkey dinner while Gail had some sort of fish. She also got this interesting looking fruit dish while I got ice cream instead. When we finished dinner James offered to lead us on a walk downtown. It turned out to be a nice hike but on this perfect day weatherwise it seemed like no effort at all.
First Day (on the Road to Killarney)

We were traveling with a much smaller group this trip. Gail assembled a group of 18 people for our tour of Ireland, Scotland and England. We were concerned that EF might merge our group with another smaller group in order to fill a 50 person bus, but she was assured that we were going to be left on our own.
