Didn't stay at the La Rochelle/Chatelaillon-Plague camp site two nights. Although it had a lovely sandy swimming lake, it's "facilities" were not up to standard! So, went from La Rochelle to Royan. This was unexpected - a large camp site in a fairly built up seaside resort.
