Some pics of Bordeaux Didn't stay at the La Rochelle/Chatelaillon-Plague camp site two nights. Although it had a lovely sandy swimming lake, it's "facilities" were not up to standard! So, went from La Rochelle to Royan. This was unexpected - a large camp site in a fairly built up seaside resort. It did have an impressive coastline, with several beaches where we could watch surfers from a high vantage point - weather a bit blowy and drizzly again, so we didn't partake ourselves!
We then decided to save some driving time by taking the ferry across to Le Verdon. We then just had a short drive to Grayan-et-l'Hopital. We got the 9.30 ferry, so we were on the beach by midday and today was a glorious sunny day.
Next day, cloudy again, so hit the road, via Bordeaux on route to Duras. Had a look around Bordeax and arrived at our Duras campsite mid afternoon. Weather brightened up enough to take a swim in the pool. The Duras campsite had a lovely restaurant, so we could end the day with a meal a wine watching the sun go down.
Need to sort on photos out, so will add more related to these
