A wonderful idea. Sails Sculpture in Eyre Square, Galway yesterday.e

The iconic sails sculpture in Eyre Square has received a makeover this week thanks to students from Tirellan Heights National School. The students’ colourful patchwork project, which contains 2,086 patches, was unveiled on Monday, with Mayor of Galway City Hildegarde Naughton officially launching the initiative in Eyre Square yesterday.

The poor scooter is feeling quite neglected. We left it shut in the Tandy garage today and took the 402 bus into Galway town as bus stop conveniently located just outside the campsite. We were very, very happy to see sunshine and blue sky when we woke having an unobscured view of the sea through our bedroom window. No need to shut the curtains, nobody can see in.
